Agent

After graduating from Orange County High School, I attended James Madison University. I received a business degree which included concentrated coursework in hotel-restaurant management. Since then, I have enjoyed working in business management and consulting, non-profit management, and education, among other areas.

My four year old twins have kept me busy at home, and I wanted to find a career that would allow me the flexibility to be available for my children, while still helping others. I am very pleased to be able to work with Greg Truslow, who has provided trustworthy insurance counseling for my family for many years. When we started our own business, he was supportive on every front, even those that did not relate to the business insurance. His integrity and helpfulness have been an inspiration to me.

My philosophy as an insurance agent stems from a section of my marketing studies at JMU that has stayed with me through the years. It taught me that “sales” is when you create a product then attempt to find consumers who want to buy it. Marketing, on the other hand, is when you create a product that meets the needs of a consumer. As an insurance agent, I love that I can practice my marketing by custom fitting each policy to the client, rather than simply making a sale. I strive to find affordable options that provide proper coverage, and if I cannot design a product that fits the client, I am committed to walking away. It is the only way I can be the person and agent I want to be.
